The Specific Parts That Has Struck Me The Most

 

        The section where Nursing Informatics as a Nursing Specialty was discussed stood out to me the most. It was fascinating that the initial scope and practice standards for Nursing Informatics were established throughout the mid 90s as well as the fact that nurses working in the field of Nursing Informatics can apply for specialty certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

I was also struck with how Nursing Informatics competencies are vital for all practicing nurses. I did not realize it this much until now that technological advancements in health care system have been constantly progressing and will continue to evolve. And by that reason, as the largest group of professionals at the forefront of health care, nurses are heavily affected by technological advances.
